VERSATILE GANTRY SYSTEM
The standard Speedy Gantry consists of an overhead protective deck 2.2m wide, which is supported on columns at 2.5m spacing along the footpath. The gantry suits the width of most footpaths in Australian cities. Special units 1.8m wide, are available to suit narrow footpaths.  Handrails are fitted to the gantry to provide a safe working environment for workers who may store equipment and materials on the deck. Site sheds can be placed on the gantry as components are available which increase the deck width to 3.1M. The width can be further increased with the addition of walkway and stair units, where required. Elevated protected walkways or overhead protection of site sheds can be achieved with a two storey configuration of the system. The gantry system is normally configured with columns spaced at 2.5M along the footpath, but can be increased to 7.5m to accommodate vehicles to the construction site. Our gantry hire can accommodate large long term construction sites, or smaller, short term needs as below.

2000 SERIES GANTRY SYSTEMS
The 2000 Speedy Gantry System allows columns at regular 5m spacing along the footpath. With overhead protection of site sheds, this configuration will conceal site sheds from view and provide a large fascia suitable for advertising the development or events within the city. The gantry will provide a level of safety for pedestrians and site workers generally not previously available. Both speedy gantry systems have been tested in the University of Queensland wind tunnel and critical connections have been tested in the University's structure laboratory.

With the strength of steel, the Speedy Gantry System has been designed to provide a high level of safety to pedestrians and construction workers, and is engineered to comply with current codes of practice for all sites. Our Gantry Systems can be speedily erected to meet any construction program.

We are flexible in our gantry hire. This image above is a standard 2.2m wide system used here for emergency building maintenance work as a window on the 12th floor was bulging in the CBD street in Sydney, and ready to blow. Speedy Gantry Hire erected this 10Kpa protection within hours of the danger being identified allowing T.A Taylor to carry out repairs.
